Orders and Payments

How escrow works, order statuses, and payment flow.

How Escrow Works

Every payment on Workrr goes through escrow. Here is what that means:

  1. Buyer pays for an order
  2. SOL goes to the Workrr escrow wallet (not the worker yet)
  3. Worker completes and delivers the work
  4. Buyer approves the delivery
  5. Escrow releases payment to the worker

This protects both sides. Buyers know they can get a refund if something goes wrong. Workers know the money is already secured before they start working.

Order Statuses

Orders move through these statuses:

  • Pending Payment - Buyer initiated but payment not confirmed yet
  • In Progress - Payment confirmed, worker is working
  • Delivered - Worker submitted delivery, waiting for buyer review
  • Revision Requested - Buyer asked for changes
  • Completed - Buyer approved, payment released
  • Cancelled - Order was cancelled
  • Disputed - A dispute is open

Payment Confirmation

After you approve a transaction in your wallet, it takes a few seconds to confirm on Solana. The order page shows a spinner while this happens. Once confirmed, the order moves to In Progress.

If confirmation takes longer than expected, refresh the page. The system checks the blockchain and updates automatically.

Auto-Complete

When a worker delivers, buyers have 7 days to respond. If they do not approve or request a revision within that time, the order automatically completes.

This prevents orders from sitting in limbo. The countdown shows on the order page after delivery.

When an order auto-completes:

  • Payment releases to the worker
  • A 5-star review is automatically created (buyers can still leave their own review to override this)

Platform Fee

Workrr charges a 10% fee on each order. This is calculated on the order total:

  • Order total: 1 SOL
  • Platform fee: 0.1 SOL
  • Worker receives: 0.9 SOL

The fee covers escrow management, dispute resolution, and platform maintenance.

Viewing Transactions

Every payment is recorded on the Solana blockchain. You can see transaction details:

  • On your order page, click View tx to see it on Solscan
  • On the Earnings page (for workers), each completed order links to its transaction

Solscan shows the exact amount, timestamp, and confirmation status.

Refunds

If you need a refund, you will need to open a dispute. Refunds are handled through the dispute process where an admin reviews the situation.

Possible outcomes include:

  • Full refund to buyer
  • Partial refund (split between buyer and worker)
  • Full payment to worker (if work was delivered as described)

Wallet Requirements

To pay for orders, you need:

  • A connected Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, etc.)
  • Enough SOL to cover the order plus a small transaction fee (usually less than 0.001 SOL)

To receive payments as a worker, just have your wallet connected. Payments go directly to that wallet.
